Job Summary
Pro Dirt is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Water Truck Driver to join our growing team. The Water Truck Driver plays an essential role in supporting construction operations by controlling dust, maintaining proper moisture levels for grading and compaction, and ensuring safe working conditions on project sites. The ideal candidate has experience operating water trucks on active construction sites, communicates well with field personnel, and takes pride in maintaining equipment and completing work efficiently.
This is a full-time position. We offer competitive compensation that is based on experience.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a water truck on construction and earthmoving projects.
Perform dust control by applying water to haul roads, work areas, and active job sites.
Maintain proper moisture levels for grading, compaction, and site preparation.
Fill water truck from approved water sources while following all applicable regulations.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Complete routine maintenance checks and report equipment issues promptly.
Monitor water tank levels, pumps, valves, hoses, and spray systems to ensure proper operation.
Follow project schedules and directions from supervisors and equipment operators.
Work safely around heavy equipment, construction crews, and public traffic.
Keep accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and fuel or water usage records as required.
Assist with other construction tasks when water truck operations are complete.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements preferred.
Previous experience operating water trucks, dump trucks, or other heavy equipment preferred.
Knowledge of construction site safety and dust control practices.
Ability to safely operate vehicles on uneven terrain and active construction sites.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as project schedules require.

This position is responsible for operating GPS-equipped heavy equipment to perform precise finish grading on commercial, residential, and civil construction projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience achieving finish grade tolerances using GPS machine control systems, understands site plans and grading specifications, and works safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
This is a full-time position. Compensation is based on experience.
Responsibilities
Operate GPS-equipped dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, and other heavy equipment to achieve precise finish grades.
Utilize GPS machine control systems such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, or similar technology to perform accurate grading operations.
Fine grade building pads, parking lots, roadways, drainage systems, slopes, and other site improvements according to project plans.
Read and interpret blueprints, grading plans, elevations, grade stakes, and construction specifications.
Maintain grade tolerances while ensuring proper drainage, compaction, and site elevations.
Coordinate with project superintendents, foremen, surveyors, and grade checkers to ensure grading accuracy.
Perform daily equipment inspections and complete basic preventive maintenance.
Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
Work safely around underground utilities, other heavy equipment, and construction personnel.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site requirements.
Maintain production schedules while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Assist with additional earthwork and site development activities as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of finish grading experience on commercial or civil construction projects preferred.
Proven experience operating GPS-controlled heavy equipment.
Proficiency with GPS machine control systems such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of grading plans, elevations, drainage, slopes, and construction tolerances.
Experience operating one or more of the following: dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, or compact track loaders.
Ability to produce precise finish grades with minimal supervision.
Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

This leadership position is responsible for directing all aspects of earthwork operations, including excavation, grading, underground utilities, site development, and equipment coordination. The Superintendent will lead field personnel, ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, maintain quality standards, and work closely with Project Managers, Foremen, Surveyors, and Owners to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive earthwork experience, excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of GPS grading technology, and the ability to solve problems while maintaining productivity and safety.

Responsibilities
Manage all daily field operations for earthwork, grading, excavation, utility, and site development projects.
Lead and supervise Foremen, Equipment Operators, Laborers, Truck Drivers, and subcontractors.
Plan and coordinate daily production schedules, manpower, equipment, trucking, and material deliveries.
Review construction drawings, grading plans, specifications, and project schedules to ensure work is performed accurately.
Coordinate excavation, mass grading, finish grading, building pads, roadway construction, drainage improvements, utility installation, and site preparation activities.
Monitor project progress and adjust schedules, equipment, and personnel to meet production goals.
Ensure GPS machine control systems are being utilized effectively to maintain grading accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
Perform regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, proper grading tolerances, and compliance with project specifications.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Surveyors, Inspectors, Utility Companies, and Owners throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify and resolve field issues quickly while minimizing project delays.
Monitor equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, equipment logs, safety documentation, and project records.
Assist with project planning, sequencing, scheduling, bidding, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in earthwork, excavation, grading, or heavy civil construction.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar leadership role preferred.
Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, underground utilities, site development, drainage, soil stabilization, and construction sequencing.
Experience managing multiple crews, heavy equipment, trucking operations, and subcontractors.
Working knowledge of GPS machine control systems such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, or similar technology.
Ability to read and interpret grading plans, utility drawings, blueprints, specifications, and survey information.
Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with daily reporting, documentation, and project management software is preferred.
Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL is a plus.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel between project sites as needed.
Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends to support project schedules.
